Present Cake

Super Cute.  Just because I had to try and make a fondant bow.  Mocha cake with matching mocha frosting.  Not a bad job for a 1st timmer.

Need a quick pick me up?? These are great.  Mocha cake with fluffy mocha frosting and a dusting of coco powder.

Oh My

So after great success with the Chardonnay Cake and frosting I was ready to jump into some more Vino inspired batters.  Well.... Not nearly the success that I was hoping for.  I tried to make a chocolate based Merlot cake and frosting.  In the baking cups the cake smelled wonderful but once out there was no taste of the Merlot.  Then came the frosting  I tried to mix in fresh raspberries to Chocolate Buttercream.  Smelled great and the taste was wonderful.  The fresh fruit acid broke the frosting.  Bummed but will try again.

Chardonnay

Happy Birthday to me!!! Wonderfully moist and full of flavor.  These give you the feel like you are relaxing and having a glass of Chardonnay all to yourself.  A great treat.
