Dodger Hat Cake
Well here it is a fun project creating a Dodger Hat for a 30th Birthday.
A Chocolate cake with Peanut Butter Frosting. The cupcakes are Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Frosting (The ones with Bats and Gloves). Strawberry Cupcakes with Strawberry Frosting (Jerseys with the name of the Birthday Boy). Chocolate cake with Ganache Frosting (Dodger Picks). I had a lot of fun making these and I know they will be wonderful to eat.

Testing Flavors
Ok so tried out two new flavors today. Vanilla Chai and Pomegranate. Well the Vanilla Chai is very tasty and is topped with a Chai flavored Whipped Cream. Yummy. The Pomegranate ones not such good luck considering I have never had a Pomegranate I put some seeds into the batter(not realizing their were hard seeds inside the Juice seeds). Crunchy cupcakes no bueno! But the Fresh Organic Pomegranate Juice flavored Frosting very Delish!!! I will retry the cupcakes with the juice no seeds and maybe some chocolate.

Pink Lemonade
So here is my new flavor........... PINK LEMONADE!
These bake up so fluffy yet dense and are sweet without being to sweet and have a nice level of tartness.
The two colored swirl Frosting is my favorite. Super cute and yummy!

Super Yummy!
Made a new Marshmallow Fondant Recipe it's fab. (I do not like fondant but this is good stuff.) This recipe adds some color and a ton of flavor. Making your own Fondant is a mess but if all goes well and this holds up it will be well worth the work. I look a bit like a powdered sugar doughnut (Powder sugar everywhere in the Kitchen and on me). Working on a fun cake for a 50th party this weekend. Pics to come as soon as it's all assembled.

80's Zebra (Cake Class)
This was the cake that we were taught how to make in Cake Class this evening. You could do any color you wanted or the standard black and white. It is supposed to have a bow on top but I got called away from class to rescue the rest of my family who were locked out of the house. :-} I still had a great time though learned a few things and got to catch up with a good friend.

Bridal Shower
This cake was for a Bridal Shower our neighbor was throwing. Double Chocolate w/ Strawberry Swirl cake and Strawberry Whipped Cream Filling. Everything is edible. Emily (my daughter) wasn't happy she didn't get to help out on this one.
Don't let your imagination limit you to just a gift box with a nightie in it this box could have anything From a ring to flowers to a new baby announcement.

Mocha Maddness

Oh My
So after great success with the Chardonnay Cake and frosting I was ready to jump into some more Vino inspired batters. Well.... Not nearly the success that I was hoping for. I tried to make a chocolate based Merlot cake and frosting. In the baking cups the cake smelled wonderful but once out there was no taste of the Merlot. Then came the frosting I tried to mix in fresh raspberries to Chocolate Buttercream. Smelled great and the taste was wonderful. The fresh fruit acid broke the frosting. Bummed but will try again.
